南昌理工學(xué)院是經(jīng)國(guó)家教育部批準(zhǔn)設(shè)置的一所全日制普通本科院校，位于英雄城南昌昌北國(guó)家經(jīng)濟(jì)技術(shù)開(kāi)發(fā)區(qū)，校園環(huán)境優(yōu)美，教育設(shè)施完善配套。學(xué)院校訓(xùn)為：科學(xué)、務(wù)實(shí)、厚德、創(chuàng)新。堅(jiān)持以“航天科教，興我中華”為辦學(xué)宗旨，遵循以教學(xué)質(zhì)量求生存，靠科研創(chuàng)新促發(fā)展的辦學(xué)原則。 學(xué)院建校十年以來(lái)飛速發(fā)展，占地面積5106余畝，建筑面積119萬(wàn)平方米，有三個(gè)校區(qū)（南昌、共青、樟樹(shù)），五個(gè)校園。各類(lèi)圖書(shū)資料251.3萬(wàn)余冊(cè)，各種教育資產(chǎn)總計(jì)達(dá)16個(gè)多億；教職工1800人，具有高級(jí)職稱(chēng)的教師800余人，有9名享受?chē)?guó)務(wù)院特殊津貼，院級(jí)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)中有兩位省政協(xié)常委，三位原省重點(diǎn)大學(xué)校長(zhǎng)、書(shū)記,三位年青的博士。學(xué)院聘請(qǐng)中科院王梓坤院士為學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)主任，中國(guó)工程院王子才院士為科技創(chuàng)新委員會(huì)主任，中國(guó)科學(xué)院院士、K8飛機(jī)總設(shè)計(jì)師石屏教授為學(xué)科建設(shè)委員會(huì)主任。學(xué)院現(xiàn)設(shè)十五個(gè)學(xué)院五個(gè)部九個(gè)基地，即計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)與技術(shù)學(xué)院、機(jī)電工程學(xué)院、電子與信息學(xué)院、經(jīng)濟(jì)管理學(xué)院、外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)院、藝術(shù)學(xué)院、航天航空學(xué)院、生物環(huán)境工程學(xué)院、傳媒學(xué)院、體育學(xué)院、建筑工程學(xué)院、心理學(xué)院、政法學(xué)院；五年高職部、公共教學(xué)部、思想政治理論課教學(xué)部、職業(yè)技術(shù)部、遠(yuǎn)程與成人教育部、科研開(kāi)發(fā)部；教育部計(jì)算機(jī)NIT證培訓(xùn)基地、教育部英語(yǔ)等級(jí)證考試基地、勞動(dòng)與社會(huì)保障部的職業(yè)鑒定所和培訓(xùn)基地、勞動(dòng)和社會(huì)保障部的數(shù)控機(jī)床工藝員培訓(xùn)基地、國(guó)家人事部培訓(xùn)網(wǎng)公務(wù)員培訓(xùn)基地、大學(xué)生電腦競(jìng)賽基地、江西省大學(xué)生勤工儉學(xué)見(jiàn)習(xí)培訓(xùn)基地、中國(guó)電子學(xué)會(huì)工程師進(jìn)修基地、江西省國(guó)防教育基地。共開(kāi)設(shè)四個(gè)辦學(xué)層次，80多個(gè)學(xué)科專(zhuān)業(yè)。教學(xué)儀器設(shè)備總值1.68億元。學(xué)院特別注重內(nèi)涵建設(shè)和教學(xué)質(zhì)量的提高，實(shí)施誠(chéng)信辦學(xué)，依法管理。學(xué)院黨委被省教育工委授予“先進(jìn)黨組織”稱(chēng)號(hào)，院團(tuán)委被評(píng)為“全省五四紅旗團(tuán)委”和“全國(guó)五四紅旗團(tuán)委創(chuàng)建單位”，行家嚴(yán)格的科學(xué)管理，名師規(guī)范而創(chuàng)新的指導(dǎo)，使學(xué)院有了跨越式的發(fā)展，學(xué)生的創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)業(yè)能力不斷增強(qiáng)。在連續(xù)七屆江西省大學(xué)生電子電腦大賽中，學(xué)院連獲多項(xiàng)第一名；在第九屆“挑戰(zhàn)杯”大學(xué)生課外學(xué)術(shù)科技作品競(jìng)賽中，學(xué)院作品獲全國(guó)三等獎(jiǎng)和江西賽區(qū)一等獎(jiǎng)……。教學(xué)質(zhì)量的提高，也提高了學(xué)生科技創(chuàng)新和實(shí)際操作的能力，成為學(xué)院高就業(yè)率的保證。2005年，學(xué)院畢業(yè)生就業(yè)率居全省同類(lèi)高校就業(yè)排名榜首。“訂單教育”和校企合作的啟動(dòng)，更為畢業(yè)生就業(yè)提供了廣闊的就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)。因此，學(xué)院贏得“全國(guó)教育教學(xué)管理示范高校”、“全國(guó)首批十所就業(yè)型重點(diǎn)大學(xué)”、“中國(guó)十佳誠(chéng)信民辦高校”、“十大最受企業(yè)歡迎人才培養(yǎng)基地”、“全國(guó)創(chuàng)建平安校園示范學(xué)校”等榮譽(yù)。南昌理工學(xué)院法人代表邱小林被授予全國(guó)“五一勞動(dòng)獎(jiǎng)?wù)?#8221;，榮獲2006年“中國(guó)教育管理卓越成就獎(jiǎng)”，并被評(píng)為“中國(guó)十大民辦教育領(lǐng)軍人物”、“影響2006—中國(guó)最具責(zé)任感教育領(lǐng)袖。” Nanchang Institute of Technology (NIT) is a private full-time average undergraduate institute,which is located in hero city Nanchang where August 1st uprising was held with beautiful campuses and gradually improved teaching facilities."science, practice, honest , innovation"is the motto for NIT, " Hangtian scientific education thrive China"is the purpose, while the theory is"working on the basis of teaching quality and promotion on the basis of scientific innovation" After 9 years of hardworking , NIT have made glorious achievements. It covers 4600 acres with 1,190,000 squar meters constuction area.NIT has complete equipments for scientific research and library. It currently contains up to 30,000 students, 2000 faculty members in which 642 teahers have the advanced title of technical and professional post. NIT has 13 departments,6 sections and 9 bases with more than 70 majors.Because of paying greater attention to the improving of inner construction and teaching quality, The communist orgnization of NIT has successively being awarded the title of "pioneer base of communist party" by commitee of private owned shool of Jiangxi provincial educational department, league committee of NIT has also been awarded the title of "provincial May4th flag league committee". The managment module of strict, scientific and innovative has attributed to the development of NIT. The exclusive chatacterist of NIT that is intergration of "prodution, learning and research", "order education" and school-enterprise cooperation opens the broad way of career for graduates.In 2006, 6 students got the title of chinese talented students,NIT also won the titles of " top 10 most welcomed talents training base" and "national model school of safe campus".NIT has made great performances in the provincial electronical and computing competition of Jiangxi university students for consecutive 8 years,among which first prize winner for several times.The employment percentage of graduates ranks the top in its type,In 2007, NIT won the titles of outstanding school of provincial graduates employment assessment,excellent base of provincial self taught examination. The juridical person Qiu xiaolin has been awarded the titles of "national May 1st labor medal" "2006 outstanding achievement of chinese educational management""top 10 leaders of national private education". Since the establishment of foreign affairs office(FAO), FAO has gradually improved the management of foreign teachers and increased foreign affairs exchange and coopreation.Up till now,NIT has 8 foreign teachers from different countries America, Canada,Philline and Korea etc.Through the exchange, we have beginned the cooperation with more than 20 universities from more than 10 countries, which is very helpful for the development of NIT.
