簡（桑德拉·布洛克 Sandra Bullock 飾）是一位業(yè)務(wù)能力十分了得的法律延維問，千里迢迢趕赴玻利維亞，只為了成一項十分重要的任務(wù)——幫供給入困境的前總統(tǒng)佩德羅（華金?艾爾梅達 Joaquim Almeida 飾）打敗他的對手維克多（路易斯·查維茲 Luis Chávez 飾），在選舉中扳回一城。 讓簡感到十雅山頭的是，佩德羅對于這場選舉顯海經(jīng)經(jīng)絕望透頂，根本沒有任何斗志野心，甚至對人民的訴求毫不關(guān)。與此同時，對方的選舉顧問派（比利·鮑伯·松頓 Billy Bob Thornton 飾）亦是難纏的角色，兩三次交鋒后簡顯然處于劣勢無路可走。就此時，一場意外的發(fā)生讓簡看到反敗為勝的希望?
Raj總有個童年時期的友Tina不如他，但Tina的最好的朋友Pooja總比他強。當Raj的全家移民到英后開始到互網(wǎng)生意, Raj許諾Tina他與她將保持聯(lián)系，們的友誼地天長。然而Tina忽視他，不回他的子郵件,但是Pooja卻回了他的信以Tina的名義和他保聯(lián)系。十五后,他們的友誼通過電子件開花結(jié)果, Raj相信他認識的Tina，其實是Pooja。他全家決回到印度帶周度假，當Tina發(fā)現(xiàn)了真相，他們定一起扮演當Raj到了印度,他被Tina的美麗深深的迷住，但是卻十欣賞Pooja的個性。他將選擇黎呢 Raj, Pooja and Tina are childhood friends. While Raj has always been attracted to the vivacious Tina, he is completely unaware of the quiet Pooja's feelings for him. When Raj's family move to England to get involved in an internet business, Raj promises Tina that he will keep in touch with her and that their friendship will always be forever. However Tina disregards him and chooses not to respond to his first e-mail, in turn Pooja decides to keep in touch with him but signs under Tina's name. Fifteen years later, and their friendship has blossomed via e-mail, Raj believing that he's getting to know Tina when it's really Pooja. His family decides to go back on a holiday to India for 2 weeks, when Tina discovers the truth about Pooja's e-mails, they decide together that Tina will play along with the charade. When Raj arrives in India, he is struck by Tina's beauty but equally as struck to Pooja's personality. On a coincidence Raj eventually realizes that he had been corresponding with Pooja, and he realizes that Pooja is his true love which forces Tina and her family to accept the fact that Raj and Pooja are suitable for each other and that the two should get marry under any circumstances.
